More about Crowd, Parking, and Traffic Management

Qualified event security guards are experienced professionals capable of anticipating issues and trained to handle unforeseen challenges when they arise. Our security agents are vigilant, reliable problem-solvers who are trained to work with the public.

Traffic Management

Traffic and Parking Management – Effective traffic control starts by effectively analyzing the situation and developing a plan that coordinates personnel in key areas where traffic backups are most likely to occur. It is also of vital importance to ensure the safety of drivers and pedestrians while maintaining the flow of traffic in and out of the event.

Our traffic management specialists have extensive professional training and experience. We also provide them with all of the tools and equipment they need to effectively manage traffic as a team, including radios, flashlights, yellow lights, traffic cones, signage, reflective vests, and highly-visible uniforms. Required certification in emergency response, CPR, and evacuation coordination means they can handle any problem effectively.

Parking management falls under the same umbrella as traffic management, as effective communication with drivers ensures that vehicles flow smoothly into and out of parking areas.

Our security officers are not only trained to manage the ebb and flow of traffic around parking areas, but can handle any equipment necessary to get the job done. We can also supply them with the tools they need to be effective parking managers including radios, uniforms, and call phones.

Crowd Control – Members of your security event staff will be responsible for different duties, but it’s important that they act as a unified team and communicate clearly throughout the event. Not only must people be able to move in and out of the venue freely, but their safety while at the event must be ensured to decrease liability and risk.

Your event security staff dedicated to crowd control may be separated into separate units handling specific tasks. Effective crowd control requires experienced security officers capable of maintaining the flow of people in and out of the venue, while offering guests confidence that they are safe while inside.

Our security guards can also manage aggressive behavior, respond intelligently to confrontations, calmly deal with emergencies, and de-escalate potentially harmful situations. By acting as a goodwill builder and concierge capable of assisting and directing guests, your guards will promote your brand and bolster your image.

Atlantic City Tidbits

Atlantic City occupies 10.747 square miles of land that sits on 8.1 mile long island in Atlantic County. It is known as a resort city and the recent population estimate according to the July 2017 census data was 38,429 residents. It was officially incorporated on May 1, 1854 with Absecon, Galloway Township, Brigantine, Egg Harbor Township, Pleasantville, Ventnor City, Margate City, and the Atlantic Ocean as its geographic neighbors.

Because of its strategic location near the Atlantic Ocean, wealthy land developers saw the city's potential in becoming a prominent resort town. Atlantic City's rich history started prior to its post casino years. If you look back into its history, The Belloe House was the city's first commercial hotel that was built in 1853. The first boardwalk, roughly 7 miles long, was constructed in 1870.

In the same year of its incorporation, a railroad service was constructed and it immensely helped in providing a direct link to Philadelphia, which is Pennsylvania's largest city. The train was able to transport nearly half million people to Atlantic City by 1874. Aside from that, the Absecon Lighthouse was also built in 1854. The historic lighthouse was designed by George Meade.

The railroad service could not keep up with the enormous demand of people wanting to visit Atlantic City. By 1878, the Philadelphia and Atlantic City Railway was added to help bring tourists to the city. Because the number of tourist grew exponentially, towering hotels like The United States and Surf House emerged as well as smaller housing alternatives. The gigantic hotel occupied a full city block that's conveniently located in between the Atlantic, Pacific, and Maryland Avenues.

The hotel industry continued to accelerate throughout the 1900s. Many of Atlantic City's humble abodes were transformed into unique hotels like the Marlborough-Blenheim Hotel and The Traymore Hotel. Josiah White, the hotel owner, built the Marlborough House first. Because of the hotel's success, he decided to extend his business and purchased the neighboring lot. White called his newest structure, The Blenheim Hotel. The hotel stood out from other hotel because the architectural firm hired to design the place added a touch of Spanish and Moorish themes. Eventually, White the two hotels into the Marlborough-Blenheim.

On the other hand, The Traymore Hotel began as a modest boarding house in 1879. When the hotel started to become popular in 1914, the owner was inspired by the Marlborough-Blenheim. So, he hired the same architectural firm to design an even heftier hotel. The newly renovated hotel had 16 stories and the rooms were ocean-facing.

Gradually, newer hotels erected on the city's boardwalk such as the Ritz Carlton, Brighton, Chelsea, Mayflower, Ambassador, Madison House, and many others. By 1930, the Claridge opened to the public and it was the last hotel before the casinos proliferated in the city.

The Claridge stood 24 stories tall and it became widely popular as the "Skyscraper by the Sea." In 1976, the citizens of New Jersey voted to legalize casino gambling in the city. Atlantic City's very first casino opened two years after. Because of its numerous hotels and casinos, Atlantic City was soon called "The World's Playground." Now, Atlantic City is one of the premier tourist destinations in the country that offers a variety of entertainment attractions.
