NFL DRAFT: Protocols & Directives:

Please note, as with events of this size, changes/updates are made daily.  Any changes/updates to the following will be emailed immediately.

For those of you working at the NFL DRAFT: HOTELS: You have been hired by ECHELON PROTECTION & SURVEILLANCE as part of our subcontract relationship with SIS SECURITY.

For those of you working at the NFL DRAFT EVENT on Thursday (4/27), Friday (4/28) and Saturday (4/29): You have been hired by ECHELON PROTECTION & SURVEILLANCE as part of our subcontract relationship with LANDMARK EVENT STAFFING.

Your main job as Event Staff is to follow the directives of your specific position as given by your immediate Supervisor.

Many of the positions will be checking credentials, answering questions, helping people find where they are going, keeping people from going into restricted areas, and being friendly AMBASSADORS for those folks that you represent. Be patient. Be polite. Be helpful and if you don’t know an answer, try to direct them to someone who will know the answer.

Please keep all Cell Phone use to a minimum.  And remember, NO SELFIES with the VIPs and NO AUTOGRAPHS.

If you needto use the facilities, tell a Supervisor and they will stand your post while you are away. Please do not leave your post without being replaced by someone. We are asking everyone to bring their own lunch. There will be a security area where you can take your breaks and eat lunch.

HOTEL STAFF:  Make absolutely sure that you CHECK IN (at the beginning of your shift) at THE SHERATON HOTEL (Mezzanine Floor) and CHECK OUT (when you are done). THIS IS HOW YOU GET PAID. Please Check In at least 15 minutes PRIOR to the start of your shift.

EVENT STAFF:  The protocols for your CHECK IN are still to be finalized.  You will be updated as soon as these directives are confirmed. Once event staff is checked in and given a credential, staff will proceed to the magnetometer check area and enter the venue. From there, the staff will be given instructions as to their duties and locations. Our event staff will be working exclusively in the theater that was built on the Art Museum steps, escorting people to their seats, checking credentials, mostly acting in a concierge and service capacity.

FAQs

  1. How do I get paid? Echelon will issue a check directly mailed to the address that you listed on your application for the confirmed times that you worked. Please make sure that you check-in when you start and check-out when you’re shift is completed so that you can be properly paid.  Checks should arrive to you in 7 to 10 days after the event.
  2. What should I do if I am late arriving at the venue? If you are going to be late or cannot honor your shift commitment, call Echelon as soon as possible at 610-831-0277 and inform us of your status. If you are planning on parking in the lot, we suggest that you get there approximately one hour in advance to allow yourself enough time to park, get our shuttle, get to the venue and check-in. Keep in mind, they are expecting about 80,000 people each day, so it is going to be very congested in that area.
  3. Where do I report when I get there?  Check-in for the Event at the Art Museum will take place at the Production Compound located at 25th & Kelly Drive. There will be security trailers and a tent located to the right of the Art Museum. Come to the tent and a Supervisor will check you in and provide you with a uniform. IMPORTANT: Please bring a picture ID with you (DRIVERS LICENSE OR STUDENT ID) because you will need ID to get your staff credentials. If you are working multiple days, you still need to check-in each day, but will be responsible for bringing your credential ID with you.
  4. How often are the shuttles running ? Will they pick us up to return to the parking area? Echelon will provide a shuttle bus from Rodeph Shalom Synagogue parking location that will run constantly to accommodate all shifts to and from the event. Keep in mind that the parking lot at Rodeph Shalom Synagogue where the Shuttle Bus is located is very limited. Carpooling to our Shuttle is highly recommended.
  5. Is there some place to store personal items, bag or backpack? Yes, you can leave your bag in the security trailer.
  6. What should we do about lunch? It is recommended that you pack a lunch or snack and bring it with you. There is a tent with tables and chairs where you can eat during your break and some beverages will be provided. There will also be food vendors onsite.
  7. How and when do we get breaks?  Your Supervisor will advise as to when you make take your two (2) fifteen (15) minute breaks. Never leave your assigned post without a Supervisor’s permission or you may not be paid.
  8. Can we wear hats? Hats will not be part of your NFL Draft uniform. We recommend that you bring sun screen, as it may be quite warm all weekend.
